Taylor Retires as Chairman of Republican Party of Waukesha County
Don Taylor, 80, has retired after 30 years of service to the Republican Party of Waukesha County.
After 30 years Don Taylor has stepped down as the Chairman of the Republican Party of Waukesha County.
The gavel was handed off to long-time vice chairman John Macy earlier in February.
Taylor, 80, ran the Waukesha State Bank, founded by his father in 1944, for 25 years until his son became president in 2004, reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

He told the Journal Sentinel that he followed the principles of "less government, lower taxes and more liberty."
His replacemnt Macy is a municipal attorney and chairman of the Waukesha County Community Foundation, reported the Waukesha Freeman. He has served on the party’s executive committee for 22 years with 12 of those as first vice chair.
