Professional Selfie Studio Opening In Bluemound Fashion Center

BROOKFIELD, WI — A social media-oriented professional photography studio is coming to Bluemound Road.

Co-owner DJ Brown plans to open Selfie WRLD MKE at 167000 W. Bluemound Rd., Suite 400, on Saturday.

The franchise started in De Moines and owns about 20 stores, according to its website.

The studio comes with 15 different booths and over 20 backdrops for unique photo opportunities. Props like a Harley Davidson motorcycle, neon signs and a Travis Scott basketball would be available to pose with as well.

"It's a fun way to get photo opportunities and different pictures you wouldn't come across in every day life," Brown told Patch. The studio provides a way to create content for social media, he said.

Selfie WRLD MKE's business hours are from Tuesday to Thursday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The studio will be closed on Mondays.

"We want it to be fun and lighthearted, have a space place for people to come and express themselves without feeling judged," Brown said. The studio is completely staffed by social media influencers, and Brown said they would be great resources for social media newcomers.

Walk-ins are available, but space inside is limited. The owner said that patrons are encouraged to buy tickets online.
