Members of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee West will discuss their to serve western Milwaukee members and answer questions. The meeting is open to the public at 7 p.m. at Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church, 13200 W. Greenfield Ave. Then on May 2 the city will hold an informational meeting and the public can comment on the request at the May 7 city Plan Commission meeting. More on the mosque
Elmbrook School Board meeting: The high school block schedule, 2012-13 district budget and architectural contract for a new baseball stadium at Brookfield Central are among the items on the agenda for Tuesday night's board meeting. It starts at 6 p.m. at the district offices, 13780 Hope St.

Private home sewer inspections: The city will hold an informational session to explain a volunteer program to for leaks. The session starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the city's Public Safety Building, 2100 N. Calhoun Rd.

Friends of the Brookfield Public Library: The volunteer group supporting the library will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the library, 1900 N. Calhoun Rd.

Five Things Every Photographer Should Know: Photographer C.T. Kruger will at a free event at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Rd.
UW Madison Wisconsin Singers at PPMS: The UW Singers and Band will a show "complete with show-stopping vocals, professional choreography, big-band sound and GLEE similarity." The 90-minute show will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at 1500 Pilgrim Pky, Elm Grove. Tickets
Arbor Day celebration at Fairview South: At 10 a.m. Friday, the city Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will be planting a tree donated by the Junior Women's Club of Brookfield at Fairview South School, 3525 Bermuda Blvd. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will present the city and Mayor Steve Ponto with a Tree City USA designation. Music will be provided by Side by Side.
Drug collection: The public can drop off old and expired prescription and over-the-counter drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Brookfield Recycling Center, 19700 Riverview Dr. It is one of seven collection sites being overseen by Waukesha County Drug-Free Communities. Here is a list of items that can and can not be dropped off.
