What to Do With That Browning Christmas Tree
The city will pick up trees at the curb starting Monday through Jan. 23, if they are clear of any wire or metal.

Have you done it yet? Thrown that browning, drooping Christmas tree to the curb? (If you're like me, it's on your to-do list tonight. Or at least this week.)
The city says you have three options:

- You can leave your tree at the curb and city crews will pick them up starting on Monday and through Jan. 23. The trees must be clear of any wire, metal, nails or plastic bags. Trees should not be buried in snow (no chance of that in coming days with temps rising to mid-40s.)
- You can bring your tree to the Recycling Center, 19700 Riverview Dr.
- You could saw your tree into 4-foot pieces, less than 50 pounds per piece, and put them by the road for removal by the solid waste contractor.
Those who have artificial trees should probably do none of the above.
Wreaths, by the way, should be put in your regular garbage since they usually are wrapped around wire.
