Committed: Franklin Quarterback Pledges Future to Badgers
Junior Myles Burkett announces he will stay in state and play football at the University of Wisconsin.
FRANKLIN, WI —Myles Burkett, a junior quarterback from Franklin High School, announced Saturday on Twitter that he had verbally committed to play football for the Wisconsin Badgers, according to Dairlylandexpress.com.
Burkett chose Wisconsin over Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Miami of Ohio, according to reports.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder told Dairylandexpress.com he always wanted to play for the Badgers.

"I knew if I ever got an offer from Wisconsin, I was going to take it," Burkett said.
This past season, which was shortened because of the pandemic, Burkett played six games, throwing for 1,236 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. He rushed for 207 yards and a touchdown. As a sophomore, he threw for 1,824 yards, 24 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also rushed for 539 yards and five touchdowns.

Burkett was rated as a three-star (out of five) recruit according to 247Sports, which ranks him as the 17th best pro-style quarterback in the 2022 class.
