Community Looks To Beef Up Tourism

The purpose is to promote tourism-based businesses in the City of Franklin and marketing the City as a destination to potential visitors.

FRANKLIN,WI—Franklin looks to attract more tourists.

In a special meeting of the Tourism Commission (TC) Wednesday, the commission will run through a discussion on final candidates for the Director of Tourism Position and planning the panel interview process.

The Director of Tourism position will be a full-time employee to be hired by Engage Franklin, the tourism entity being created by the City of Franklin Tourism Commission and ROC Ventures, according to city records.

The Tourism Commission may enter closed session, if warranted, to consider employment, compensation and performance evaluation data of the candidates for the Director of Tourism position and to deliberate and consider possibly investing public funds and the terms of investment with regard to the services to be provided and compensation for the Director of Tourism position.
