Man Fires Gun Inside Franklin Club Tuesday: Police

A man was charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety for firing a gun in a Franklin club then fleeing, Franklin police said.

FRANKLIN, WI — A man fired a gun inside the On The Border club in Franklin and then fled the scene before being arrested in Milwaukee Tuesday night, according to a press release from the Franklin Police Department.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police responded to reports of gunshots inside the club around 11 p.m. Tuesday. The shooter had already gotten away, but police said they were able to identify him as a 33-year-old Milwaukee man.

Milwaukee police arrested the man with no further incident and charged him with first-degree recklessly endangering safety, police said. The case was referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney.

Police did not give any possible reasons behind the shooting. Police said it was an isolated incident that poses no further danger to the public.

It is not the first time that On The Border has been the scene of gun violence. In 2017 a man was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted homicide after police say he fired a gun at a group of people outside the club.
