Outdoor Haunt Opens This Week, New Safety Plan in Place
The Hill Has Eyes comes alive for its ninth year on Friday.
The Hill Has Eyes comes alive for its ninth annual reign of terror on Friday, October 9th, at the Rock Sports Complex.
Hill Has Eyes is set on 45 acres, and this year’s 60 minutes event will eliminate all indoor structures to accommodate COVID-19 protocols.
“Every year our goal is to make The Hill Has Eyes scarier than the year before,” said Haunt Director Joe Zimmerman. “This year, our team of actors, makeup artists, and special effects wizards rose to the challenge of creating chills and thrills in an all-outdoor setting that ensures social distancing and safety in the age of COVID-19.”

The Hill Has Eyes will also host The Not So Scary Halloween Party for a fourth year. The kid-friendly event runs on Sundays through November 1st from 2:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. The even it geared toward guests ages eight to 12 years old. Children can dress up and trick-or-treat their way through the haunt, greeted by “tyke-level” ghosts and ghouls.
“This year our challenge is clear: How do we make Hill Has Eyes scarier than ‘2020’ has already been in real life?” said Mike Zimmerman, CEO of ROC Ventures. “It turns out that fleeing from ghouls is a great stress reliever!”

In a media release from the company, ROC Ventures wrote they are closely with The Franklin Health Department to modify and redesign the Hill Has Eyes experience to offer maximum safety for visitors and cast .
The company believes 45 acres allows guests to comfortably spread out whether they are in the attraction, waiting in line, or drinking a beverage in between haunts.
Guests will be required to wear masks at all times when in the attractions and queue lines. Guests won't be allowed into the attraction without a face covering.
If guests do not have masks, they are available for sale on-site.
All Hill Has Eyes employees and actors are required to wear face coverings when on the job.
