GREENDALE, WI — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

July 4 Festivities

What: The Family 4th Fest including fireworks, a fair, rides and parade.

Where: The gazebo on Broad Street in downtown Greendale. Parking available at Greendale High School, 6801 Southway.

When: Fireworks are at dusk on July 4. The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. on July 4. The fair will run from July 1 until July 4.

This year’s Greendale Family 4th Fest will bring back many of the normal 4th of July celebrations that were hampered last year due to the pandemic. The Greendale Lions Club is leading the event this year.

Expect a plethora of amusement rides, food, live music and more. The parade will start at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Greendale and of course fireworks are expected at dusk.
