Abe Lincoln, Small Animals and Reptiles to Visit Library Tuesday

Which will be more popular Tuesday: Abe Lincoln's beard or a chinchilla? Let your child be the judge by coming to two special programs at the Greendale Public Library.

Nowhere in America - at least, nowhere we're aware of - can you learn about a chinchilla and speak with Abraham Lincoln on the same day other than the Greendale Public Library.

On Tuesday, the library will feature an interactive program at 10 am. where kids can learn all about small animals and reptiles — including a tortoise, snake, chinchilla and bunnies.

But that's not all. Go grab a bite to eat and then bring your children back to the library at 2 p.m. when two of the nation’s top impersonators will portray Abe and Mary Lincoln in a presentation aimed specifically at kids.

President Lincoln will talk about things like growing up in a log cabin, how he got his beard, why he wears such a tall hat, good citizenship, the importance of getting a good education. You get get more details on the library's website or by calling (414) 423-2316.
