GREENDALE, WI — Southridge Mall could get a new tenant - and push a few existing ones out - if Amazon is afforded the ability to set up a new fulfillment center in Southridge Mall.

According to a Milwaukee Business Journal report, the owner of Southridge Mall, Simon Property Group, is talking with Amazon.com about prospects of taking over two large spaces currently occupied by J.C. Penney, Dick's Sporting Goods and Round1 entertainment center to open up fulfillment centers.

The fulfillment centers are basically warehouses and distribution centers, and would differ from the customer-centric Southridge Mall tenants.
