Back to School, Back to Simon: Shoppers Invited to Find Their Style at Southridge Mall this Fall
Southridge Mall has kicked off its 2016 Back to School season, encouraging shoppers to 'find their style' while reflecting on past BTS looks
Southridge Mall and Simon today kicked off its 2016 Back to School season with a TV commercial and digital video campaign, encouraging shoppers to ‘find your style’ while reflecting on their past first days of school and the outfits that were the height of fashion in the 80s and 90s.
The campaign will be amplified through social media using the hashtag #tbtbts (Throw Back Thursday Back to Simon), inviting people to share their most memorable back-to-school photos for a chance to win Simon gift cards and a $5,000 shopping spree.
A campaign at Simon centers, targeted at teens, will feature three seasonal trends inspired by 80s and 90s fashions – off-beat, modern utility and 90s nostalgia.

“Back-to-school shoppers spend more during this season than they do during Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day combined, so we want to make sure the experience is a pleasurable one that appeals to students and parents alike,” said Cheryl Rouse, marketing director at Southridge Mall. “Our campaign celebrates the fashion trends of the past and today – the evolution of fashion and mixing the old with the new to ‘find your style’.”
