China Lights Festival Returning For 2018

The wildly-popular Chinese lantern and lights festival is making a return to the Boerner Botanical Gardens. Here are the details.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — China Lights, the wildly-popular lights festival, is making a return in 2018, Milwaukee County officials announced.

This year's festival, called "China Lights: Panda-Mania" will return, Sep. 21 through Oct. 21, to Milwaukee County’s Boerner Botanical Gardens, 9400 W. Boerner Drive in Hales Corners. Tianyu Arts & Culture Inc. will organize this year's festival.

“This is a spectacular event that brings people together from across Milwaukee County and well beyond. We are thrilled to bring back this partnership with China Lights and our Parks,” Milwaukee County Executive Christopher Abele said in a prepared statement.

Last year China Lights drew visitors from 44 states and the District of Columbia to the botanical gardens in Whitnall Park officials said.
