GREENDALE, WI — The Greendale Police Department released its activity log for the week of July 23-29, showing that the department dealt with multiple phone scams, arrested three people on drug charges and more.

One interaction of note last week happened when somebody reported a vehicle that was driving around the village to police. The car had been driving around for about 45 minutes, so police checked it out. The vehicle turned out to be someone learning how to drive a stick shift car, the police log said.

Three people were arrested on drug charges in two separate incidents last week.
One individual had attempted to hide when they saw a police car, which led to him being arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine, prowling and other traffic offences, the Greendale Police Department wrote in its weekly log.

On a separate occasion, another person was pulled over for having expired registration. Police discovered marijuana, intoxicants and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were arrested, police said in the log.
At an event last week, Greendale Police Department officers spotted two possible suspects in a property damage incident that recently occurred in the village. Officers confronted the people and arrested one on an active warrant, police said in the log.
Two possible phone scams were reported, each totaling at least $4,000 in damages to the victim, according to the police log.
In one incident, an individual called a resident posing as their grandson's attorney, the victim told police. The false attorney requested money to post the grandson's "bail". The victim reported that $4,800 was transferred to the fake attorney, the police log said.
Police logs report that an adult male was arrested last week for kicking down his girlfriend's door and then hitting her.
Police also reported that an officer encountered a man on the side of the road. The man was brought to a homeless shelter.
