Here's a look at notable police activity from Aug. 5 through Aug. 11.
GREENDALE, WI — Between Aug. 5 and 11, police in Greendale responded to 299 calls for service. The highlights of those calls are below.
Notable Calls
Last week, police in Greendale responded alongside the fire department to a report that a toddler had eaten marijuana candies. Police said charges related to child neglect, including any that could arise from this case, will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

Police also responded to a report of people in a white vehicle drinking alcohol and smoking. When officers arrived, they found two people smoking marijuana.
A woman called police after she sent $1,600 through Cash App to a person for a rental residence in New Berlin. She later found that was a scam.

A resident purchased $500 in gift cards after being told her Apple user account was compromised. When she received a second call of the same nature, she realized she had been scammed.
A resident told police she had seen a man lying under her car. When the man fled, the catalytic converter was missing from the woman's vehicle.
Two leaf blowers and one trimmer were stolen from an unlocked trailer belonging to a landscaping company. The trailer was in the parking lot of a local business.
A woman called police to report her teenage son had been shot multiple times with a paintball gun from a dark gray vehicle. Police describe the driver as a Hispanic man between 20 and 25 years old with dark, curly hair.
All told, officers last week responded to eight suspicious incidents, one drug incident, nine unintentional 911 calls, three vehicle accidents, three disorderly conduct incidents, six retail thefts, two identity theft reports, four animal complaints and nine welfare checks.
Police also responded to 76 extra watches, six assists with other agencies and seven assists with the fire department.
Last week, one arrest was made, 39 citations were written and 38 written or verbal warnings were issued, police said.
