Greendale Class Of 2021 Graduation Ceremony Now Saturday Morning

Update: The 2021 Greendale Senior Graduation Ceremony will start at 10 a.m. Saturday with graduates arriving at 9:30 a.m. (updated June 11 at 3:45 p.m.)

GREENDALE, WI—The Greendale High School Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony is rescheduled to start at 10 a.m. Saturday, an announcement from Principal Steven Lodes said.

The ceremony is moved up from its original afternoon time to 10 a.m. Saturday, the announcement said.

Students should report for the ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Families can also begin arriving at 9:30 a.m. The changes come due to expected high heat and possible severe storms, the announcement said. If necessary, the ceremony will be moved inside.

The dress code has also been revised. Students are now allowed to wear shorts and sandals under their graduation gowns, the announcement said. Face coverings will not be required at the event, inside or not. Face coverings are still recommended for indoors.

If the ceremony is moved indoors not every ceremony ticket will be honored. Four guests will be allowed to attend the ceremony if outdoors, but only two guests will be admitted if it is indoors.

Families received two green tickets and two white tickets. Only the green tickets will admit entry to the indoor ceremony, the announcement said.

White tickets will allow entry to the event only if it is outdoors, the announcement said. All four tickets, green and white, will admit entry to an outdoor ceremony.

More guests will be allowed at the scheduled family time. The family time will begin at noon and go until 3 p.m. following an alphabetical schedule in the main gym. Up to ten guests are allowed at the planned family time, see the schedule for your graduate's family time below.

More information confirming if the ceremony will be inside or outside will be released Friday at 3:30 p.m., the announcement said.

The ceremony will also be streamed online for those that can't make it.

If the ceremony is inside- Only two guests will be admitted with green tickets. The ceremony will be held in the main gym.

If the ceremony is outside- Four guests will be admitted with green AND white tickets. The ceremony will be held on the field.

The ceremony will be held at Greendale High School located at 6801 Southway in Greendale.
