A Greendale Homecoming For The Ages
As the Greendale High School football team lined up Friday night before the game, Noah Bonk would get a big surprise.

GREENDALE, WI -- As the Greendale High School football team lined up for the playing of the National Anthem before their Sep. 14 home game against Wisconsin Lutheran, junior lineman Noah Bonk got a big surprise.
His brother Austin Bonk, a petty officer in the U.S. Navy, hadn't been home in a year-and-a-half and was waiting in the tunnel to surprise his younger brother on his 17th birthday.
As the National Anthem ended, Austin - in full uniform - walked up to his brother, tapped him on the shoulder and gave him a big hug. Austin then surprised his parents in the stands - who also didn't know he was in town.

“I was just absolutely shocked,” Noah said in a Journal Sentinel report. “I kind of felt someone coming up behind me, but I didn’t think anything of it. I was so focused on the game and getting hyped up that I was so shocked when I saw him. I didn’t know what to do.”
