Local Long-Term Care Center Investigated For Coronavirus
One positive case of COVID-19 detected among residents or staff members in a nursing home automatically triggers an investigation.

GREENFIELD, WI — Wisconsin health officials say they're investigating a potential coronavirus outbreak at a local long-term care facility.
Overall, health officials say 38 long-term care and skilled nursing facilities are currently undergoing facility-wide public health investigations across the state after at least one resident or staff member tested positive for the new coronavirus.

In a statement, DHS said the nursing homes are following proper procedure and working with public health experts to test, protect and isolate residents to prevent the spread of infection.

Heritage Square Health Care Center — Greenfield
The health care center established COVID-19 safety procedures and visitor restrictions in mid-March.
The state's list of facilities with cases of COVID-19 will be updated weekly and could change as investigations start and end.
