Greendale Marching Band Heading For Pasadena

GREENDALE, WI — The Greendale High School marching band's holiday week will be marked by an unforgettable trip to Pasadena to march in this year's Rose Parade ahead of the Wisconsin Badger football game versus Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

The Greendale Marching Band is set to depart on Dec. 27, and students, staff and
chaperones will spend six nights in California, touring the local area tourist and historic locations
and preparing for their band fest appearance and participation in the 131st Rose Parade. Here’s
a short list of the sites the group will see:

● Red Line Tour of Hollywood
● Los Angeles Farmers Market/The Grove
● Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade

● Hollywood Bowl
● Griffith Observatory
● Hollywood Sign
● Warner Bros. Studio Tour
● Universal Citywalk
● Rose Bowl Stadium Tour and a Rosemont Pavilion Float Decorating Place
● Universal Studios Hollywood
● A visit to Shriners for Children Medical Center in Pasadena to deliver the new coloring books donated at the Saturday concert. (The Greendale Marching Band's contribution to the Tournament of Roses BandCares program.)

The band will perform in Bandfest on Monday, Dec. 30, at 5:35 p.m. CDT.

With an early wake-up on New Year’s Day, the group will celebrate the New Year’s Eve Ball
Drop in New York City and retire early in preparation for the 131st annual Rose Parade,
Jan. 1, 2020 10 a.m. CDT.

That day concludes with a dinner cruise sailing out of Newport Beach.

The Greendale Marching Band will depart for home in the afternoon on Jan. 2 and return
home to Greendale on early in the morning on Friday, Jan. 3.
