GREENDALE, WI—The Greendale Board of Education will host its annual School Board Academy on Thursday, December 17, 2020, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in a digital format. Registration is requested by Wednesday.
The School Board Academy is an opportunity for all citizens who are interested in learning more about the role of the District’s Board of Education, according to the school district. Greendale’s Superintendent Kim Amidzich and School Board President Joe Crapitto will present information on the duties and responsibilities of School Board members, school finance, law, personnel issues, ethical practices, and accountability.
The five-member Greendale Board of Education will have two positions on the 2021 Spring Ballot. The successful candidate will serve a regular, three-year term on the Board. To be on the ballot, all candidates must submit the required Declaration of Candidacy and file their Campaign Registration Statement at the District Office by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
The spring election will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. If a primary is needed, the primary election would be Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
