Greendale Schools Continue Virtual Ed Through Thanksgiving

The Greendale Superintendent, Kim Amidzich, announced three schools will continue with virtual learning amid the pandemic.

GREENDALE, WI—The Greendale Superintendent, Kim Amidzich, announced three schools will continue with virtual learning amid the pandemic. Those schools are Highland View, Greendale Middle School, and Greendale High School

"After meeting with the Greendale Health Department and the Reopening Greendale Schools Team, we have made the decision to maintain the current digital learning," Amidzich wrote.

Virtual learning at those school will now continue through Thanksgiving. Canterbury and College Park will continue in the current, in-person learning environment, but that could change if cases continue to rise.

On Monday evening, November 16, at 7:00 p.m., Superintendent Amidzich will be making a report on the current cases and quarantines as well as the survey results to the Board of Education. Board meetings are live streamed on the district’s YouTube channel. These meetings are open to the public and face coverings are required for those in attendance. There is limited seating capacity in the meeting space.

"I understand the challenges we are all facing to balance physical and emotional health and safety during this extraordinary time. We are doing our best to balance these needs while also managing our most important mission: to offer the best possible educational opportunities for our children. I appreciate the support of our school community while the district continues this work," Amidzich wrote.
