Greendale To Talk Halloween Plans This Week
The Board is considering, at the October 20th meeting, whether to make any changes to Halloween events.
GREENDALE,WI—Among the issues being discussed this week at the Village Board meeting, Halloween will be a topic.
The Village Board meets Tuesday, and the Board is considering whether to make any changes to Halloween and trick-or-treat plans. They will also consider cancelling the festivities.
The Village Board set the date for the 2020 event at the end of 2019 so that it could be added to the Village event calendar magnet, according to Village.

Right now, trick-or-treating is scheduled for Saturday, October 31 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The Board will also consider approving:

- An amendment to the agreement approved by the Board on October 6th regarding Mutual Assistance between the Milwaukee County Fire Departments.
- A special event permit request from the Public Celebrations Committee for the Annual Tree Lighting ceremony (Friday November 27 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
- A special event permit request from the Public Celebrations Committee for the Dickens of a Village event (Friday December 4 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m).
- The health, dental and vision benefit plans for the Village employees for 2021.
The Village Manager will also present his 2021 Recommended Budget. Copies of the budget will be available on the website, Village Hall and the Library beginning on Wednesday October 21st.
Budget work sessions were scheduled for Monday October 26th, Wednesday October 28th and November 4th (if necessary) beginning at 6:00 pm.
