Greendale Woman Has Car Stolen; Turns Up In West Allis

When a Greendale woman had her car stolen at the El Rancho Motel in Franklin, police said it later turned up in West Allis.

GREENDALE, WI — A Greendale woman who had her car stolen from the El Rancho Motel in Franklin had her vehicle turn up in West Allis, where a suspect was arrested.

According to Greendale police call logs, a woman walked in to the Greendale Police Department just after 7 p.m. on Aug. 17 to report that her vehicle, a silver Hyundai Elantra, had been stolen from the El Rancho Motel in Franklin.

Police call logs stated that the woman, a Greendale resident, told police that the vehicle was being used by her ex-boyfriend without her permission.

According to call logs, West Allis police said they tracked down the stolen vehicle in the 6200 block of W. Mineral Ave. and arrested a 34-year-old woman.

Police said the Greendale woman went to West Allis, where she confirmed the vehicle's windshield had been damaged and a key fob was broken.
