Greendale's Downtown Market Starts Saturday: Vendor Preview

GREENDALE, WI— Greendale's Downtown Market will have its opening day on Saturday with unique drinks, food and craft vendors, Greendale Downtown Market said in a Facebook post.

The market will run each Saturday until October and offers a host of products from local vendors such as woodwork, clothing, seasonal produce and more, according to the official vendor list. It will be open 8 a.m.- 12p.m. Saturday.

This weekend will have a couple of standard vendors selling fresh produce, eggs and milk. According to the official vendor list, the Greendale Highschool Garden will also be selling its fresh produce at this weekend's market.

The market will happen along Broad Street in downtown Greendale. It opens at 8 a.m.

Here's a preview of some other unique vendors planned for the market Saturday, according to the official vendor list:

Lopez Bakery will be selling Mexican bakery items, chips, salsa, guacamole and soda, the list said.

Gift of Wings will have kites, brats, burgers, ice cream, hotdogs and other crowd favorites at this week's market, the list said.

Broken Tastes the Same will sell bakery items such as scones, biscotti and even granola, the list said.

Fraura Fruit Smoothies will have fresh fruit smoothies for sale on Saturday, the list said.

Elsie May's Canning and Pies will be selling mini pies, jams, bloody mary mixes and other fruit drink mixes, the list said.

Artas'n Meats will have beef sticks, summer sausage, ham and bacon products on sale Saturday, the list said.

Viola's Honey will be selling locally sourced honey and bee products such as candles, bee pollen, honey and honey straws, the list said.

Green Roots LLC will be selling products inspired by Greendale. The business will offer shirts, housewares and accessories, the list said.

Multiple wood crafters will have booths at this week's market. There will also be a variety of cosmetic products, crocheted clothing for dogs and humans, handmade jewelry and more.
