'Jurassic Park' House Draws Visitors During Coronavirus Pandemic
Here's why the front yard of Crystal and Brock Wiken has been attracting more attention in the neighborhood.

GREENDALE, WI — During the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in Wisconsin, many people are cutting out hearts or putting messages of love and support for essential workers in the front windows of their house.
For Greendale couple Brock and Crystal Wiken, it's something a little different. That's because the couple's home is known by their neighbors as the "Jurassic Park" house.
The Wikens are inviting people to drive by their house at 5234 Manchester Court in Greendale every day from 6-9:30 p.m. to watch as dinosaurs leap, roar and track across the entirety of their front window.

"Since the pandemic started we’ve been feeling the pain of being stuck in the house with not much to do- so we wanted to create something fun and memorable for people to enjoy during the crazy times," Crystal told Patch.
Brock Wiken came up with the idea during Halloween. He set up a projector in their home to display some spooky videos in their front window. They didn't think too much about it until neighbors kept coming up to them telling the couple how much they enjoyed it.

When the coronavirus pandemic hit, Brock set up the projector again. His setup includes signs in the front yard and a speaker outside to convey sound effects from the video.
"We’ve collectively received tons of great feedback from the different communities about how great of an idea it is to help lift people’s spirits," Crystal said.
