This Labor Day weekend, taking the kids to a movie is a reasonable treat. Here's your guide to free popcorn, cotton candy and $5 movies!

The U.S. airline industry estimates that 16.1 million passengers will fly during the busy Labor Day weekend travel period. If you’re not headed out of town, a trip to the movie theater with your kiddos can provide the perfect escape.

There are plenty of options available to you, including $5 movies and special offers at Marcus Theaters across Southeastern Wisconsin, including free cotton candy for children. Free popcorn will be given to all children who attend a movie at the Southridge Mall Bistroplex.

  • “Cars 3” — Lighting McQueen sets out to prove that he’s still the best race car in the world.
  • “The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature” — Surly and his friends try to save their home from destruction.
  • “The Big Sick” — Romantic comedy about love, death and the everyday humor of being a 21st century American.
  • “Kidnap” — A mother stops at nothing to recover her kidnapped son.
The Goonies” Retro Series: Friday, September 1 – Monday, September 4
Whether you’re an eighties kid or introducing the next generation to the beloved classic, you can see “The Goonies” on the big screen for $5 at all Marcus Theatres locations.

“Dunkirk” Military BOGO: Friday, September – Monday, September 4

Active and retired military members who see “Dunkirk” can enjoy a special buy-one-getone admission at select Marcus Theatres locations. (Must present Military ID Card at boxoffice.)
