Ladies' Night Out at Wehr Nature Center is This Wednesday

The Wehr Nature Center is bringing together about 25 local businesses—that support both women and nature—for a ladies night out. The free program will meet Wednesday, July 20, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Wehr Nature Center, 9701 W. College Ave.

The evening’s fair format will let visitors explore healthy lifestyle choices, physical and financial fitness options, stress reduction, and getting the right fit for athletic shoes. In addition, goods such as natural beauty products, nature-themed fine art, unique fashions, and accessories will be for sale.

Vendor tables will be set up indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). Vendors will give table-side demonstrations of their products and answer questions about their services. All vendors have also donated items or gift certificates to a raffle and silent auction supporting the Friends of Wehr Accessibility Capital Project.

Items include a “Pamper Yourself” basket, jewelry, gift certificates, healthful beauty products, and other contributions from participating vendors.

Also supporting the Accessibility Project will be the paint-your-own-wine-glass activity, for $8/glass. Free adult beverages and snacks will be available, so only visitors age 21 and over will be admitted to the event.

The parking fee is in effect: $3 per carload.
