Man Arrested After Greendale Drunk Driving Crash: Police

Greendale police say a 22-year-old was driving drunk when he crashed into a wooded area.

GREENDALE, WI — A 22-year-old was arrested after authorities say he drove drunk and crashed into a wooded area in Greendale.

According to Greendale police call logs, an officer on patrol spotted a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed just before 2 a.m. on Aug. 29 on W. Edgerton Ave. from S. 76th Street.

Police said the officer lost sight of the vehicle, but found it after it crashed into a wooded area on S. 78th Street at W. Abbott Ave.

Police said the driver, a 22-year-old Greendale man, was arrested on suspicion of his first drunken-driving offense after the officer conducted field sobriety tests.

Greendale police said N&S Towing pulled the vehicle from the wooded area. The man was booked at the Greendale police department and later released.
