Our Crazy Wisconsin Spring: A Tale of Two Maps

New mapping tool lets you toggle between Milwaukee-area spring weather highs and lows

Did you get sunburned over the weekend? Will you need your winter coat by Wednesday?

Wisconsin weather in April can be a fickle friend - flirting with 80s on a gorgeous weekend day and plummeting to near-freezing temps overnight during the week.

The Journal Sentinel, with the help of the National Weather Service and Northwestern University Knight Lab's nifty mapping tool, gives you a glimpse of our crazy spring where you can toggle between the highs and lows of your local weather.

As the Journal Sentinel's David Paulsen colorfully wrote Monday morning, "The map of high temperatures on Tuesday looks like it is of another planet, with all that mood-lifting orange suddenly changing to humbling green, from Janesville mint to Milwaukee pine. That's a drop of nearly 20 degrees in the highs from Monday to Tuesday."

Enough said.
