Panther Pub vs. Pig Races: You Decide!
The Panther Pub opens on Broad Street in downtown Greendale, and the Wisconsin State Fair opens in West Allis.

If you haven't been to Greendale Patch yet this week - and I certainly hope that's not the case - you may not know that the much-anticipated Panther Pub and Eatery is opening to the public for lunch Thursday.
Owner Mike Drilling's new restaurant on Broad Street in downtown Greendale is the newest attraction to the village, and will be serving lunch at 11 a.m.
Can't make it for lunch? Don't worry. Stop by and have dinner, grab a drink with friends after work, or find a ballgame on one of pub's many TVs and hang out into the evening hours.
What else is going on Thursday? State Fair, of course.
Cream puffs, racing pigs and food-on-a-stick make their annual appearance in West Allis as the Wisconsin State Fair gets under way and runs through Aug. 11. There are admission discounts just about every day.
You'll find everything you need to know on the fair's website.
