GREENDALE, WI—The Greendale Public Library offers a pen pals program for kids to stay connected during the pandemic.
"We miss seeing our friends from the community in the youth area," the organization wrote on Facebook.
The Library says the program helps students with writing skills and is simply fun.

Here’s how it works. Send the library a note in the mail, book drop, or drop it off at the library. You should include details about your child, like the title of a favorite book, food, toy, or activity.
Also include your child’s first and last name, age, and return address.

If your child doesn’t have legible writing skills, adults are welcome to help.
The library staff will send your child a note back. The first correspondence to pen pals will also include a coloring page, stickers, and a bookmark.
