Ricardo's Takes A Second Punch From The Pandemic

Wednesday, the company posted on social media that two employees tested positive for the coronavirus.

GREENDALE, WI—The owners of Ricardo's have faced another blow amid the pandemic.

Last month the restaurant lost its owner, and relatives decided to postpone the services, citing concerns with the pandemic.

Wednesday, the company posted on social media that two employees tested positive for the coronavirus.

"The employees were not working at the time of diagnosis or while awaiting test results per our company policy," Rich Loch wrote on the restaurant's social media page.

But since the employees couldn't work, the restaurant could not be fully staffed, and the restaurant had to suspend operations.

"We had our entire staff tested for COVID-19 and thankfully, all results came back negative. We will continue to be committed to thorough cleaning and sanitizing procedures as we have the past nine months. We have worked hard as a family and group of employees to be an asset to the Greendale community for 50 years," Loch wrote.

The restaurant will serve curbside only from Thursday through Sunday.

The Dining room will reopen Monday, November 16.
