School Board Candidate Praises Incumbents, Election Process
Kathleen Wied-Vincent, who lost in her bid for the Greendale School Board, said the election set the standard for the state.

A week after losing out in her bid for the Greendale School Board, Kathleen Wied-Vincent told board members at their meeting Monday the election set the standard for the rest of the state.
"I really believe that our district set the bar higher for the state of Wisconsin on how elections should be run with integrity, with the best interest of our students in mind," Wied-Vincent said.
Wied-Vincent was one of three challengers running against incumbents Tom Slota, Victoria McCormick and Melanie Kuzmanovic, who were all re-elected in the April 2 election. Katie Mevis and Roger Dalkin also ran for a spot on the board.

The feeling of respect was mutual among the candidates. Kuzmanovic said in an Election Night interview that "any one of them ... would have been terrific."
"I'm very humbled being chosen out of this group of quality" candidates, she said.
