Snow Accumulation Expected This Afternoon

Due to the cold temperatures, the snow will likely cause slippery driving conditions.

The National Weather Service is reporting that accumulating snowfall is expected today into this evening across the area causing slippery and dangerous driving conditions. A fluffy snow accumulation of around one inch is expected. Due to the cold temperatures, the snow will likely cause slippery driving conditions.

Normal maximum temperatures are in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees for southern Wisconsin, with minimum temperatures in the middle to upper teens. After slightly warmer temperatures on Thursday and Friday, another arctic blast will arrive for the weekend.

The cold air will likely stick around into the New Year. Below are the projected chances for above or below normal temperatures for late December into early January. It shows there is a high chance for below normal readings for our area into early January 2018.
