Squirrel Hunters Cited With Multiple Violations In Community Park
One of the three suspects initially ran from the police.

GREENDALE, WI— Three men hunting squirrels are now facing multiple citations after being arrested by police.
Greendale police arrested the men, 29-, 23-, and 23-years-old, on September 24 in the Root River Parkway near the Parkview access road.
One took off running, but he was apprehended with the help of Franklin police using a drone and K9.

The rifles the men were carrying shot pellet guns, according to the Greendale Police Department spokesperson. When questioned, the suspects told police they were hunting squirrels.
All three were cited for County Parks weapon and hunting violations.

One was cited for resisting a police officer because he fled and hid from police.
Wisconsin DNR agents were contacted, and they confiscated the two pellet guns and wrote the men nine additional tickets.
