Village Days the Highlight of Action-Packed Week

The week is finally here!

Village Days begins Wednesday as Greendale celebrates its 75th anniversary with five days of fun packed with special events like the UW Badger Band, a laser light show, hot air balloon rides, Retro 40s Night and a whole lot more.

Government meetings more your style? (Shame on you if you raised your hand). Well, the Greendale School Board will be taking at how to proceed with the building of a new high school baseball field, the 2013-14 teacher compensation structure and more at 7 p.m. Monday at the high school.
And on Tuesday, at also at 7 p.m. at Village Hall, village trustees will begin the process of determining if Goodwill Industries is a good fit for the Reader's Digest building.

• Blues lovers will want to check out the Waukesha BluesFest, on Friday and Saturday at Naga-Waukee Park in Hartland.
• Families will have a rare chance to camp out a theMilwaukee County Zoo this week with the "Snooze at the Zoo" event on Wednesday and Thursday night.
