Village Of Greendale Accepting Applications For Firefighter/Paramedic Through April 21

Duties include fire suppression, fire inspection, vehicle/fire station maintenance, rescue operations, and emergency medical response.

GREENDALE - The Village of Greendale Fire Department is accepting applications through Friday, April 21, for firefighter/paramedic positions.

Firefighter/paramedics are response for fire suppression, fire inspection, vehicle and fire station maintenance, hazardous material response, rescue operations, and emergency medical services. The schedule is 56 hours per work, with 24-hour shifts including holidays and weekends.

Applicants must reside within 15 miles of the limits of the Village of Greendale within one month after completion of 18-month probationary period. There is also a medical exam required after offer of employment and prior to appointment. All candidates will be fingerprinted and a background check will be performed. A conviction is not an automatic bar to employment.

Other requirements for the position: U.S. citizen, high school diploma or equivalent, 18 years or older, valid Wisconsin driver's license with good driving record, good physical condition, Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic license, Wisconsin Firefighter I Certification, and ability to perform essential functions of the position.

The village lists the salary for this position from $1,946.47 to $2,837.52 biweekly.
