Village Of Greendale Declares Snow Emergency
The snow emergency begins at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26 and ends at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 in the village.
GREENDALE, WI — Greendale officials have declared a snow emergency beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26 and ending at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 in the village.
This means no motor vehicle can be parked and no commercial or industrial vehicle loaded or unloaded on any public street, alley or highway in the village during this period.
The duration of the snow emergency shall be for such period of time as the Department of Public Works shall require to plow the public streets, alleys and highways of the village and make them conveniently passable for vehicular traffic.

Officials are reminding residents that vehicles left on the street after a declaration of a snow emergency are subject to being plowed in or towed at the owner’s expense. If parking is needed, the municipal parking lots are available.
Resident are also advised that pursuant Village Ordinance 8.04 “Any person occupying any real estate shall keep any walk which abuts or is adjacent to the real estate clear of snow and shall remove any snow within 12 hours after a snowfall. Icy sidewalks shall be made safe by such person for pedestrian travel. Snow removal or plowing activities by the village shall not relieve any person of the duty of complying with this section. Persons engaged in snow removal from sidewalks or driveways shall not push, plow or blow snow onto or across village roads.”
