WEATHER ALERT: More Rain Ahead, Flash Flood Watch Issued for Rest of Today

MILWAUKEE -- Make sure that sump pump is ready to go, and nearby gutters are clear - the National Weather Service is predicting more rain for this afternoon and evening, and has issued a Flash Flood Watch for our area today.

The flash flood watch continues through Friday evening for the following areas:

Portions of south central Wisconsin and southeast Wisconsin, including the following counties Dodge...Jefferson...Kenosha.

Milwaukee...Ozaukee...Racine...Walworth...Washington and Waukesha.

Potential heavy rainfall producing rates of 1 to 2 inches in one hours time could still occur this afternoon and evening, which could result in areas of flash flooding. Urban flash flooding is possible.

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
