When Does School Start in Greendale?

Summer vacation is – gasp – nearing its end already, which means it’s time to get ready for back-to-school preparations.

Here are some important things you need to know as the first day of school in the Greendale School District fast approaches:

When is the first day of school? We’ll start with the easiest question of all. The first day for all Greendale schools is Tuesday, Sept. 3, the day after Labor Day.

But there are other important dates on the calendar you need to know, like early dismissal dates and days when there is no class.

How and when do I enroll my student? The district website has a lot of the specifics you need to know for each school. But here are some important dates:

• Forms and Fees Day at Canterbury is 1-4 p.m. and pictures are 5-7 p.m. Aug. 7. Students can also meet their teacher and drop off supplies from 6-7 p.m. Aug. 28.
• College Park’s Forms and Fees Day is 1-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Aug. 7. Drop-off supplies from 4-5 p.m. Aug. 28, followed by a bring your own picnic for all College Park families.
• Highland View Elementary’s Forms and Fees Day is also from 1-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Aug. 7.
• At the Middle School, registration is 1-7 p.m. Aug. 8, with a make-up day scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 14.
• Greendale High School registration is 1-7 p.m. Aug. 5; 9-3 p.m. Aug. 9; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 12.
