Woman Injured When Dog Bites Her on Sycamore Street

A man reported a dog on Sycamore Street bit his mother, puncturing her right hand’s middle finger July 25.

The woman went to urgent care for the injury and the dog’s owner was made aware of the complaint and a quarantine order.

That and the following items were included in the Greendale Police Department media summary for the week of July 19-25:

• One woman was arrested at H&M Clothing in Southridge Mall for shoplifting and for using a theft-detection shield July 25. Another was taken into custody for two warrants with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department.
• A woman who was pulled over near the intersection of South 76th Street and West Edgerton Avenue was arrested for two commitments with the West Allis Police Department for possession of drug paraphernalia and operating after revocation at 2:25 a.m. July 23.
• A man was arrested for drunken driving at the intersection of West Loomis Road and South 68th Street at 4:30 p.m. after police received multiple reports that he was driving recklessly and cutting off other vehicles. The man had a blood alcohol content of .12.
• A man was arrested for domestic violence – disorderly conduct after neighbors said he was trying to get into his mother’s home, where he is not allowed, on Oriole Lane at 1:15 p.m. July 20. Callers told police the man was banging loudly on a side door.
• A woman told police her car, while parked in the 5700 block of Finch Lane, was entered and that money and credit cards were taken sometime before 8 a.m. July 20.
• A man reported his cell phone, wallet and other items were taken from his vehicle while it was parked on Fenton Court sometime before 8 a.m. July 19. The man said $60 in cash, two credit cards, binoculars and a softball glove had been taken.
