5th Offense Drunken Driver Nabbed by Greenfield Police
Greenfield police arrested a Milwaukee woman driving drunk after she failed field sobriety tests and later admitted to being drunk, saying she didn't want to waste an officer's time.

A Milwaukee woman has been arrested for drunken driving for a fifth time, after allegedly telling a Greenfield police officer she's drunk and doesn't want to waste his time, during a traffic stop.
Barbara Muma, 49, was charged May 29 in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with felony operating while intoxicated fifth offense and misdemeanor operating while revoked. She entered a not guilty plea during a court appearance on Thursday.
If convicted, she could face up to seven years in imprisonment, $12,500 in fines, or both. The charges do carry a minimum $600 fine and six months in imprisonment.
According to the criminal complaint:
On May 25 at 10:47 p.m. a Greenfield police officer stopped Muma near the intersection of S. 58th St. and W. Forest Home Ave. for driving with a revoked driver’s license.
During the traffic stop, police say Muma slurred her speech and had bloodshot eyes. She told police she had maybe three drinks before driving.
Muma attempted to perform field sobriety tests, but after stumbling she mumbled “I’m drunk,” and told the officer, “I don’t want to waste your time," according to the court documents.
She refused to consent to a Breathalyzer or blood test to determine her blood alcohol content, the criminal complaint reads.
Muma has been convicted of operating while intoxicated in 1993, 2000 and twice in 2004, according to the court documents.
Muma is due in court June 27 for a scheduling conference, according to online court records.
