Arrest Made After Man Tried Opening Car Doors In Greenfield

Police say a man was spotted trying to open car doors in a Greenfield neighborhood and was arrested on suspicion of prowling.

GREENFIELD, WI — A 42-year-old man was spotted trying to open car doors in a Greenfield neighborhood and at the local Aurora parking lot, and may face charges following his arrest, police say.

According to Greenfield police call logs, a homeowner on the 5000 block of S. 69th Street called police to report seeing a man trying to open car door handles on parked cars at some nearby homes.

The homeowner called police just before 3 p.m. on July 20, according to call logs.

Police call logs state that the suspicious man moved to the west side of the Aurora parking lot and was now trying to open car doors there.

Police said the man was arrested on suspicion of prowling and brought back to the police station for booking.

According to police call logs, the man complained of stomach pains, and a paramedic with the Greenfield Fire Department evaluated his symptoms. He was treated by the paramedic for his apparent medical condition, police call logs showed.
