Boy Drops One Bike to Steal Another

Whatever happened to buying the things you wanted?

A boy who was perhaps bored with the bike he had or maybe looking to upgrade, did just that outside a house in the 4100 block of South 72nd Street on June 6.

Problem is, he didn’t ask anyone if it was OK.

According to Greenfield police, the juvenile rode up to the house on a bike, got off and stole a resident’s daughter’s bike, leaving his old bike in its place around 5:10 p.m. that afternoon.

The neighbor saw the boy do it.

Police have not recovered the stolen bike nor have they identified the person who took it, and the abandoned bike was taken to the police department.
