'Egger' Leaves Behind Wallet, ID

An 18-year-old Franklin man and his buddies might have gotten away with egging a Greenfield woman's home, had he not left his wallet on her driveway.

Fingerprints and DNA samples are probably at the top of the list things criminals or troublemakers should not leave behind at the scene of a crime.

Someone needs to tell an 18-year-old Franklin man that “wallet” is also up there.

According to the Greenfield Police Department, on April 4, a Greenfield woman called police to tell them her home in the 5600 block of South 41st Street had been egged at approximately 6 p.m. The woman told police she had found a wallet at the end of her driveway.

The wallet, of course, belonged to one of the “eggers” who told police two days later he in fact had egged the woman’s home along with an 18-year-old Greenfield man and an 18-year-old Milwaukee man.

The woman determined no damage had been done to her home, and after police talked to all parties involved, it was determined none of the three men would be arrested or cited, instead, only warned about their behavior.
