Firefighter's Home Burglarized While Family, Friends Sleep
A City of Oak Creek firefighter, who lives in Greenfield, told police his wallet and his wife's purse were taken from their kitchen by an intruder in the middle of the night July 4.

A Greenfield couple had their home burglarized while they, their child and two houseguests were sleeping, police say.
According to the Greenfield Police Department report, one or more suspects first rummaged through two cars parked in the couple’s driveway in the 5500 block of South 41st Street sometime after 12:30 a.m. July 4.
The intruder or intruders then entered the garage, they went through an unlocked service door into the couple’s home, where they grabbed a purse and wallet off the kitchen table.

The purse and wallet contained approximately $60 in cash, two sets of car keys, driver’s licenses, credit cards, a camera, a cell phone and the man’s City of Oak Creek firefighter badge.
The woman’s purse and several of the items in it were found a few blocks away when a neighbor was out mowing his lawn. Her cell phone was turned into a local cell phone store.
