Former Whitnall Administrator Now Greenfield's Director of Business

The former Whitnall School District business manager has been hired to a similar position with Greenfield.

Amy Kohl was chosen from a pool of 16 applicants to replace Kristin Kollath as the Greenfield School District’s new Director of Business Services. Her appointment was approved by the Greenfield School Board on Monday.

Kohl was Whitnall’s business manager from 2007-2011 before taking a similar role in the Fox Point-Bayside School District, which she has performed for almost two years.

During her tenure with the Whitnall and Fox Point–Bayside school districts, Kohl was responsible for all business operations, including finance, buildings and grounds, food service and transportation. She will perform similar duties with Greenfield and serve as a human resources department resource.

In addition to her work with Whitnall and Fox Point-Bayside, Kohl was the business administrator for the Plymouth Joint School District from 2005-07, where she completed an $18 million referendum project consisting of capital improvements to six facilities. She was also a bookkeeper in the Brown Deer School District from 2003-05 and the Erin School District interim business manager from 2002-03.

Kohl, a past president of the Hales Corners Chamber of Commerce and president and secretary of the Southern Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials, has a Master Degree in School Business Management from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.

A team of administrators and two School Board members interviewed four of the 16 candidates who applied to replace Kollath, who resigned in February.

Ronald Nortier has served as Greenfield’s interim business director the last few months.
