Greenfield Firefighters Holding Beer, Wine-Tasting Fundraiser Saturday

Greenfield Firefighters Local 1963 hope to raise more than $5,000 during a Toasting for Charity event Saturday, Oct. 5.

The firefighters will hold an Oktoberfest beer and wine tasting at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 3200 S. 103rd St. from 6-10 p.m. It will include 54 beers from more than 10 breweries, various wines and a silent auction and raffle.

All the funds raised at this unique event will benefit local and national charities that the fire department currently supports, including Greenfield and Whitnall youth baseball, post-prom lock-ins, and the WAFS Youth Burn Camp. It will also go to help victims of fires the Greenfield Fire Department has responded to, and firefighters who's families have suffered tragedies.

Tickets are $25 and available at the door the night of the event or at the Greenfield Fire Department.
