Greenfield To Host Workshop With 'Mindful Gratitude' Author

GREENFIELD, WI —The Greenfield Department of Parks and Recreation will host a workshop on March 23 titled "Mindful Gratitude, And Finding Peace Amid A Pandemic," which is designed to help participants incorporate mindfulness and gratitude into their lives and work, according to an ad for the event.

Milwaukee-based author Christel Wendelberger will be the guest speaker. She has written the book "Mindful Gratitude. Practicing the Art of Appreciation," which is described on Wendelberger's website as "a collection of personal essays . . . (that will) help you find the extraordinary in your life, no matter your current circumstances."

The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 23, in Room A of the Greenfield Community Center, 7215 W. Cold Spring Rd. The course also will be available via Zoom, and the Zoom information will be emailed to registrants.

The Registration deadline is March 9, and information about how to register is available on the City of Greenfield website. The seminar, course number 103120-01, costs $35 for Greenfield residents and $41 for non-residents. Participants will receive a Mindful Gratitude pen and journal, which Zoom viewers can pick up at Greenfield City Hall, 7325 Forest Home Ave.

According to Department of Parks and Recreation social media accounts, the event is an opportunity to retreat, reflect and recharge, and will use research-based wellness principles to help participants relax, reframe the stories of their life and stay centered in a world that seems to be changing by the minute.
