Greenfield Police Department Holding Drug Take Back Day April 29
Greenfield Police Department is partnering with Dose of Reality, which seeks to prevent prescription medication abuse in Wisconsin.

GREENFIELD - The Greenfield Police Department, 5300 W. Layton Ave., is hosting a Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in their lobby where citizens can safely dispose their old or unused prescription drugs.
The department is partnering with Dose of Reality, a government organization led by the Wisconsin Department of Justice and Attorney General Brad Schimel that aims to prevent abuse of prescription painkillers in Wisconsin.
An officer will be in the lobby to help citizens dispose of medications. Acceptable items include liquid medicine in leak-proof containers, lotions and ointments, over-the-counter medications, pet medications, prescriptions, and vitamins, all in their original containers. Items that will not be accepted include illegal drugs, needles/sharps, inhalers, aerosol cans, bio-hazardous material containing bodily fluid or blood, personal care items, and household hazardous waste. Liquids less than four ounces should be in their original leak-proof container and placed into a clear plastic bag. Citizens may cover their name and personal information on the container.
